Our Bernedoodle Story
We started breeding Bernedoodles in 2019 due to our love of the Bernese Mountain dog’s calm demeanour and loyalty.
When we lived in our home town of London Ontario Canada our neighbour had a Bernese Mountain dog named Bear. He was the friendliest, calmest, and most loyal dog I have ever met .
Bear would lay in the front lawn all day and not bark at passers by not leave the un-fenced front lawn ever .
I was shocked by this but I have learned that this is their nature. I have poodles and there wasn’t much chance of that happening in my yard .
Unfortunately Bear passed away from throat cancer at 10 yrs old which is much older than the lifespan of many Bernese.
I believe that mixing a poodle (my all time favourite breed) with a Bernese helps both dogs in calmness , life span, low to no shedding, and intelligence of a poodle really helps.
We find these two breeds a great match . All our breed dogs are health tested with Paw Prints . Thank you for reading .
